2018 Holiday Workshops


EASTER HOLIDAYS

Wednesday 4th April - Beatrix Potter adventure 2-6 years, children must be accompanied by an adult for this adventure 10.30-12 (includes a snack - please advise if you have specific dietary requirements on booking) £10 per child (younger siblings welcome - under 2s are free)

Meet Miss Potter and her friends, an outdoor adventure (please dress appropriately) which uses play, drama and craft to explore the environment.

Wednesday 4th April - Gogmagog Giant adventure 2-6 years, children must be accompanied by an adult for this adventure 1.30-3 (includes a snack - please advise if you have specific dietary requirements on booking) £10 per child (younger siblings welcome - under 2s are free)

Explore through play the idea that Wandlebury was once home to Giants! Touching on history but with a focus on fun and imagination this outdoor adventure is perfect for imaginative children who love exploring.

Thursday 5th April - Imagine a world of adventure 6-11 years, this day of adventure is unaccompanied by parents and will be run by qualified, DBS checked professionals from Vital Spark Theatre. 9am-5pm (please bring suitable clothes and footwear to be outside, you will also need a packed lunch but a snack will be provided so please do advise of any special dietary requirements on booking) £45 (£5 off for siblings)

Taking time to be inspired by the environment around us we will imagine new worlds, map them, create miniature versions of them and develop site specific stories set within them. A perfect day of adventure for imaginative young people with a love of the outdoors, story telling, drama, history or art.

Friday 6th April - Wild bedtime stories Come and enjoy some bedtime stories in a beautiful outdoor setting. Wear your pjs, dressing gowns, onesies (and probably wellies!), bring your favourite teddy if you wish. Arrive from 5pm to explore the area and settle down at 6pm to enjoy the stories. £6 per child includes hot chocolate (if you can bring your own reusable cup to help us reduce waste that would be wonderful)

HALF TERM

Tuesday 29th May - If you go down to the woods adventure 2-6 years children must be accompanied by an adult for this adventure 10.30-12 (includes a snack - please advise if you have specific dietary requirements on booking) £10 per child (younger siblings welcome - under 2s are free)

Some of your fairy tale favourites combined in this playful adventure. An outdoor adventure (please dress appropriately) which brings imagination to life through drama, craft and storytelling.

Tuesday 29th May - Nature puppets and puppetry 6-11 years unaccompanied by parents 12-4

(includes a snack - please advise if you have specific dietary requirements on booking) £25 (£5 off for siblings)

This half day workshop will allow nature loving children to create characters and bring them to life through puppetry. Using mainly natural materials and lots of imagination they’ll be able to make and perform in their own puppet theatre.

SUMMER HOLIDAY

Wednesday 1st- Saturday 4th August - Small Voice, Big World 8-16 years. Calling all creative, passionate young people who are interested in making a change in the world through the arts. How can taking action in a calm way be an empowering outlet for challenging feelings like anger and frustration? How can our young people be heard and make a positive impact on their own future? Through a series of workshops 10am-4pm Wednesday-Friday (wrap around care may be available on request at an extra cost) we will explore different forms of Art Activism culminating with a site specific performance on Saturday 4th August at 2pm. £120 per child (£20 off for siblings) Includes 2 tickets for the performance (additional tickets and tickets for members of the public will be available at £5 each) Participants will need to bring a packed lunch each day and wear clothes that are suitable for all weather conditions.

For all workshops please meet at The Stable Rooms. Booking for these workshops is essential and should be done as soon as possible by contacting katherine@vitalsparktheatre.org to request a booking form. The booking form must be completed and returned with payment to secure the booking.
